Terms and Conditions

1. Using Our Website

By using www.printguys.nz or placing an order with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
We may update them from time to time, and continued use of the website means you accept any changes.

We may send you updates or order information by email or by posting notices on the website.


2. New Zealand Law

Print Guys is a New Zealand business. All orders and transactions are governed by NZ law, and any issues that need resolving will be handled in New Zealand.


3. Orders & Pricing

All orders are subject to our approval.
Prices may change without notice, and if there is a material cost change before production starts, we’ll let you know.

Quotes are valid for 14 days unless noted otherwise.

We do our best to keep information accurate, but mistakes sometimes happen — we reserve the right to correct pricing or product errors.


4. Your Content & Artwork

You’re responsible for the content and artwork you supply, including spelling, layout, images, and file formats.

When you upload or send us artwork, you confirm that:

  • you own it or have permission to use it

  • it doesn’t infringe anyone else’s rights

  • it’s appropriate for printing

If there’s an issue with rights or ownership, you’ll cover any claims made against us.

We may decline to print content that we believe is inappropriate or problematic.


5. Payment

All online payments are processed securely through Windcave (DPS Payment Express).
We don’t store or have access to your credit card details.

A surcharge applies to credit card payments.

If your card is declined, your order won’t proceed.

For approved credit accounts:

  • payment is due by the agreed date

  • overdue accounts may go on hold

  • future orders may need prepayment

You agree to cover any costs involved in recovering overdue amounts.


6. Windcave Security

Windcave handles all card transactions using PCI-DSS compliant systems.
Your card details never reach our servers — they stay securely with Windcave.


7. Returns, Issues & Reprints

Because everything we print is made just for you, we can’t accept returns for change of mind or customer-supplied artwork issues.

If something isn’t right, please tell us within two (2) business days of receiving your order.
We may ask to see the product or have it returned so we can assess the issue.

If we agree that the product is defective, we’ll organise a reprint or credit at our discretion.

We don’t replace items that have been:

  • mishandled

  • incorrectly stored

  • partially used


8. Our Warranty

We stand behind what we make, but we can’t guarantee colour matching between screens and printed output.
Standard print tolerances apply to trimming, colours, and finishing.

Other than replacing genuinely defective items, no additional warranties apply.


9. Shipping & Delivery

All jobs are sent FOB Auckland — meaning ownership passes to you once the goods leave our premises.

We’ll recommend reliable couriers, but we’re not responsible for:

  • courier delays

  • damage in transit

  • lost packages

  • missed deadlines caused by the courier

Shipping and handling costs are paid by the customer unless otherwise arranged.


10. Cancellations & Refunds

Orders can’t be cancelled once production has started, and we don’t offer refunds for orders that have been printed or shipped.

Refunds are only provided where required under the NZ Consumer Guarantees Act.


11. Colour & Production Variations

Digital screens vary from device to device, so colours may print slightly differently from what you see online.
This is normal and not considered a defect.

Small variations in trimming, alignment, and finishing are part of standard industry tolerances.


12. Limiting Our Liability

We’re responsible for producing your order to a professional standard, but we’re not liable for:

  • indirect or consequential losses

  • lost profits, missed deadlines, or business disruption

  • issues caused by your supplied artwork or instructions

If we’re ever found liable for something, our total responsibility is limited to the value of the order in question.


13. Intellectual Property

Everything on our website — designs, templates, text, and images — belongs to Print Guys unless stated otherwise.
You can’t copy or reuse it without our permission.

Your artwork remains yours, and we only use it to produce your order.


14. Privacy & Data Use

We collect information only to process orders, support customers, manage accounts, and prevent fraud.

Your information may be shared with:

  • Windcave (for payments)

  • couriers and logistics providers

  • internal staff handling your order

  • service partners who help operate our website

We comply with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.
Our Privacy Policy (linked separately) explains this in more detail.


15. Events Outside Our Control

If something unexpected happens that stops or delays production — such as supply shortages, courier disruptions, power outages, or severe weather — we’ll do our best to minimise delays, but we won’t be liable for things outside our reasonable control.


16. If Part of These Terms Is Invalid

If any clause turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still apply.
